01 Pick your drawing.

Choose a favorite together. Lay it flat and take a photo from above in bright, even light, or use a scan.

Get the whole drawing in the picture, right to the edges.

02 Choose a layout.

Go big with one drawing, repeat it into a pattern, or bring several drawings together. Let your child pick a favorite.

One big drawing keeps the whole scene, scribbles and all. Repeat it uses just the owl, spaced out, on the drawing’s own green. A few together is three favorites, or one from each child.

03 Make your design.

Open ChatGPT and paste the prompt below. Attach your drawing photos and tell it which layout and background you want.

Make a Wrapware wrap using the attached original drawing(s).

Keep the child’s work exactly as drawn. Use image compositing with code to place the actual supplied artwork. Preserve its original lines, colors, proportions, pencil or crayon texture, handwriting and irregularities. Do not generate, redraw, trace, smooth or “improve” anything. Do not invent details that are hidden or missing. Crop only blank margins outside the art.

One big drawing: keep the complete scene, including its own sky, ground and background. Give it a prominent placement without cutting off any marks.

Repeat it: isolate the main subject (for example, the owl) from its surroundings by masking the supplied pixels, not by redrawing. Keep its outline and every mark inside it. Repeat that same isolated subject in a staggered, evenly spaced pattern with generous room between copies. Behind it, use either a plain background in the color I chose, or the drawing’s own hand-colored background extended as a texture from the supplied pixels. If isolating the subject would lose pale marks or need invented details, keep the whole scene as the repeated tile instead and tell me.

A few together: use only the separate drawings I attached, each kept complete; never add drawings. If I chose this layout but attached one drawing, ask me for the others or suggest another layout.

Create a flat, horizontal design at exactly 2700 × 1650 pixels. Fill the background to every edge and keep important artwork at least 150 pixels inside each edge. The canvas includes the 0.25-inch bleed allowance; don’t add extra bleed, guides or crop marks. Scale proportionally. Add no captions, names, dates, borders, guides or crop marks unless I ask.

Export a downloadable PNG or JPG with 300-dpi metadata. Inspect the saved file to confirm its actual pixel dimensions and dpi, and that the placed artwork still shows the original marks. Give me the file and a preview.

Their drawing. The prompt tells ChatGPT to place your actual photo with image compositing and keep every line, color and pencil mark. Nothing is redrawn, smoothed or “improved.”

What kind of photo do I need?

Lay the drawing flat and shoot from straight above in bright, even light, with the whole drawing in frame. A scan works too.

How does the repeat pattern work?

ChatGPT lifts the main subject out of the drawing by masking the pixels you supplied, then repeats it with room between each copy on a background you choose, or on the drawing’s own hand-colored background. If lifting it out would lose faint marks, the prompt keeps the whole scene as the tile and tells you.

Can I use drawings from more than one child?

Yes. Choose “A few together,” attach each drawing, and the prompt keeps them all complete and separate.

What size does the wrap file need to be?
